A Full Livery service, our Retirement Livery services are bespoke packages designed to make caring for your horse more simple for you as a horse owner, and ensure that your horse receives the best quality care in their Retirement. Whether it’s due to age or injury, at River View Eq we make sure horses in our care receive the care and lifestyle that suits their needs, with options for Full turn out, Track system or Traditional stable and grazing, your horse will want for nothing.

Our figure of 8 track system is designed to encourage movement and reduce grass intake, our track is virtually grass free making it ideal for horses who are laminitis prone, have EMS, Cushings disease, or other metabolic issues. By strategically placing Hay in feeding stations around the track, as well as enrichment, salt licks, and self selection water buffets with vital vits and mins, our Track Liveries are encouraged to move more than the might do on traditional grazing set ups. Our Track System is also suitable for good doers, and arthritic horses that may not be able to be exercised. Track Systems are a perfect alternative to more traditional grazing restrictions as they offer the 3 F’s; Friends, Forage and Freedom, which are so important for our horses physical and mental well being. Track Livery is available for retired horses, or horses in work.

We can now offer Rehabilitation for horses suffering from Laminitis, recovering from injury or procedure, or horses needing a lifestyle overhaul due to severe weight loss or gain. At River View Eq, we offer a tailored service for your horse depending on their requirements. Our proprietor offers many years experience assisting in Rehab, specializing in Laminitis rehab, weight gain/loss, or assisting owners with learning how to manage horse with metabolic conditions.

Along side all of our more specialty packages, we also offer services for horses who are still in work, and owners who are looking for Full 7 day livery or Part 5 day livery. Our Full livery is inclusive and covers most costs, making the financial side of caring for a horse more simple, and our Part livery is a more streamline package, offering the essentials of standard livery. All care is provided by our experienced, knowledgeable and qualified proprietor, who only knows how to provide 5* care and nothing less. We currently have a lovely dry and level riding paddock, onsite hacking around 2 of our largest fields totaling 17 acres to ride around, access to 2 arenas on our road (plans to build our own arena by summer 2024), and access to fantastic local off road hacking, including the Prestwold estate which is over 20 miles of off road riding, we are also very close to competition centers. Our stables are newly built, well ventilated and fully rubber matted.
